Leading with the science

At UCLA, our team leverages their neuroscience expertise to explore the brain mechanisms behind context dependent learning. Using functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI), we studied participants' brain activity as they recalled foreign words within the scanner. The results revealed that their brains actively engaged with the context in which the words were learned. These findings underscore the potential of virtual reality to significantly enhance learning—provided the VR experience is convincingly immersive and realistic.

Joing our research

We invite innovative and forward thinking research proposals from scientists around the globe. Each submission is carefully reviewed by Gabb’s team of experts to ensure rigor, feasibility, and the potential to advance scientific understanding. Approved applicants gain complimentary access to Gabb VR tools, and in select cases, limited data on cognitive performance. Our current research collaborations span diverse topics, including the effects of normal aging, specific medical conditions, and the interplay between physical exercise and Gabb training.
